EDUCATION: Graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in kindergarten and elementary education; received a master's degree in education in secondary guidance counseling from Westminster College; received certification in elementary guidance counseling from Edinboro University; did post-graduate work at the University of Idaho, Penn State, the University of South Dakota, the University of Alabama, Eastern Washington University, Brigham Young University, Louisiana State University, and Antioch University, Seattle.

EMPLOYMENT: Guidance counselor for Sharon City School District; Director of Tennis at Buhl Farm.

FAMILY: Parents are Lois and the late Charles McLaughlin, Sharon, and has a brother in Sharon and a brother in Toledo.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

• Served on St. Joseph's Church parish council, liturgy committee, and as a lector.
• Buhl Day executive board committee.
• Westminster College Operation Impact volunteer.
• Served on F.H. Buhl Club Board of Directors.
• Shenango Valley Performing Arts Council member.
• Young People's Art in Education Scholarship Committee.
• Bicentennial Park Summer Series Chairman.
• Penn State Shenango Alumni Council Board of Directors and Community Service Project chairman.
• Penn State Alumni "Lion Link" member.
• Served on Shenango Valley Chorale Board of directors, personnel committee, public relations committee, and budget committee.
