Most roads at Buhl Farm will be closed to vehicles on Buhl Day, Sept. 6. The roads that are open will be to enter and exit parking lots; there will be no through-traffic. The Buhl Boulevard entrance will be closed to all vehicles. Both Forker Boulevard entrances will go to parking lots 4 and 5. The Seventh Street entrance will go to parking lots 2, 6, 7 and 8.
The new patterns have been designed to alleviate heavy drive-through traffic in the park and promote safety for the many walkers at Buhl Day.
The Buhl Day Information and Sales Booth again will be located between the Performing Arts Center and Shelter 1 on Labor Day.
Souvenir items include tote bags with extra long handles, commemorative note cards and new Buhl Farm park sweatshirts.
Buhl-related items are available before and after Buhl Day. Totes and note cards are available at The Asparagus Patch in Hermitage and the new blueberry-colored sweatshirts are on sale in the floral shop at Cottage Gardens in Hermitage. Both businesses are selling the merchandise as a community service, with all proceeds going to the Buhl Day Committee.
As in previous years, the booth will offer free Buhl Day programs, which list events and food locations for the day, and will sell bagged ice to food vendors while supplies last.
