SHARPSVILLE

Man jailed after dragging woman by hair, police say

A Sharpsville man was jailed after police said he dragged a woman by her hair and forced her into his pickup before releasing her Thursday night.

Police said Robert Campbell, 19, of 25 S. Mercer Ave., and a woman who shares the residence had been arguing at about 11 p.m. when Campbell suddenly pulled the woman off a couch by the ring in her pierced eyebrow, and then dragged her by her hair down a flight of stairs and into his pickup truck.

After driving around briefly, Campbell returned to the residence and let the woman out of the pickup, police said.

Police said the woman was treated at the scene.

Campbell was charged with unlawful restraint, simple assault and reckless endangerment, police said. He was taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $10,000 bond, police said.
