FARRELL

Man is found dead in Youngstown

A Farrell man was found dead Thursday on the east side of Youngstown, and Youngstown police said they are ruling his death a homicide.

Troy Scurry, 34, of 1626 Farrell Terrace, was found by police at 9:56 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of Melvina Avenue, police said. He was reportedly spotted by a passing motorist about 20 minutes earlier. The motorist notified police, they said.

Scurry, who was found face down in a pool of blood, reportedly had been shot four or five times in the head. Reports said a resident had seen a black and red car in the vicinity at the time of the shooting.

Police said Scurry’s death is still under investigation.
