25 to be feted for educational excellence

New and Living Way Sunday School’s Education Department will honor 25 people for educational endeavors at a March 11 luncheon banquet.

The honorees were named for empowering the community through spiritual and natural education. The honorees are:

Bishop Alvin J. McCoy, Bishop Stephen Bennefield, Superintendent Wilbert Hadden, the Rev. Geraldine Williams, Flora Newby, Lisa McCoy, Charlotte Stewart, Delores Booth and Lynda Moss-McDougall.

Christal Graham-Jones, Olive Brown, Connie Langley, Frank Sincek, Gloria Jefferson, Martha Cromartie, Vickie Phillips and Rose Johnson.

Charlene De La Cruz, Karen Weston, Russell Phillips, Harriet Morrison, James Harris, Carole Borkowski, Rachine Mazyck and Louis Falconi.

Mr. Bennefield, assistant pastor of New and Living Way Apostolic Church, Farrell, will speak. Pianist Todd Adam Scott and soloist Cynthia Ray will perform.

A buffet meal will be served. The event will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Mercer County Housing Authority Community Center, 211 Federal St., Farrell.

Tickets are on sale and will be sold at the door. Information: 347-6245.
