Man accusedof taking money, failing to do work
A Masury man has been accused of taking $13,755 from a couple of Ohio residents for home improvements and failing to do the work.
Victor Ross Litwiler, also known as Daniel J. Lopaze, 37, of 463 Syme St., took $13,000 in 1997 from a Champion resident for a construction job he never started, Brookfield police said.
On March 7, operating under the name of Dan Lopaze Construction Co., he took $755 from a Brookfield woman for a siding job, police said.
He told her he would be back March 15 for more money before he started the job, but was picked up by Hermitage police March 10 at a motel on South Hermitage Road on a warrant from Champion police.
Friday, he was extradited to Trumbull County Jail, police said.
