SHARPSVILLE

2nd man charged in sex tape case, police say

Sharpsville police said they arrested a second man in connection with a sexually explicit tape that surfaced at a high school party.

Cary Kulka, 18, of 25 Wakefield Drive, Sharpsville, turned himself in at 3:15 p.m. Monday at District Justice James E. McMahon’s office in Sharon on a warrant for showing obscene and sexual material and corruption of minors, police said.

Police said the tape was made by Bradley William Quinn, 18, of 127 Locust St., Sharpsville. They said Quinn videotaped himself and a 17-year-old girl and that the tape contained explicit scenes of a sexual nature. Charges against Quinn of sexual abuse of children and two counts of corruption of minors were held to Mercer County Common Pleas Court at a preliminary hearing March 21.

Kulka took the tape to a party and showed it to juveniles, police said, adding that it is also illegal to show the tape to adults.

Kulka was released on his own recognizance. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. April 18, a court clerk said.

Police said they had been investigating for about two weeks before Quinn turned himself in March 10 at McMahon’s office.
