Older residents’ opinions sought

Mercer County Area Agency on Aging Inc. will host two community meetings to determine the needs of the county’s older residents.

Both meetings run from 1 to 3 p.m. They are:

  • Friday — Wheatland Borough Building, 71 Broadway Ave.
  • Monday — Leslie N. Firth Learning Center, U.S. Route 19, 1½ miles north of Mercer in Coolspring Township.

    The needs of the older population will be discussed for inclusion in the agency’s four-year planning process. Topics include:

  • What problems or unmet needs do you most frequently see that threaten the independence of senior citizens in Mercer County?

  • What solutions do you feel could address these problems or unmet needs?

  • What actions should Mercer County Area Agency on Aging Inc. take over the next three years to improve service and service delivery to Mercer County’s 60 and older population. Information: 662-6222 or (800) 570-6222.
