Register today for parent training session

Mercer County has been identified by Parents Anonymous as a county with a substantiated rate of child abuse well above the 23.9 percent state average.

Minority Health Advocacy Committee is hosting a training session by the group from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 24 in Mercer County Housing Authority Center, Farrell.

Registration is needed by today. Lunch will be provided.

Melissa Schrecengost, Parents Anonymous of Pennsylvania’s regional program coordinator, will speak. Information on how to organize a Mercer County chapter will be given. Support for parents, children, adult survivors of abuse, incarcerated and homeless parents and teen parents will be covered.
