SHARON

Burglary suspects caught

Another house was burglarized in Sharon while the residents were sleeping but police think they may have caught the prowlers.

Between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 6:45 a.m. Tuesday someone broke into a house in the 1000 block of Hillcrest Street, said Police Chief Raymond C. Greene. The burglars broke into an attached garage and then made their way into the house, Greene said. Once inside, the thieves stole various items including credit cards and then drove off in the victim's 1994 Buick, he said.

The burglary was similar to one that occurred at about 4 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of South Oakland Avenue.

The stolen car was stopped by police in Trumbull County this morning and two suspects are in custody, Greene said.
