Chamber seeks applicants for Leadership Shenango

Applications are available for Leadership Shenango 2002.

The Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce-sponsored program offers business professionals classes designed to familiarize them with the community and local organizations.

The 8-year-old program utilizes the experience and knowledge of current leaders to educate and inform the leaders of tomorrow.

"Preparing for Tomorrow ... Today" includes one full-day and six half-day sessions starting Feb. 13. Sessions have been added to discuss relevant community issues.

Sessions are every other week in the Founders Boardroom of the chamber building at 41 Chestnut St., Sharon. The all-day session is held off site.

Educational material and interactive debate and discussion are part of the sessions. Issues facing the community and potential solutions also will be covered.

Leadership Shenango Alumni Association is expected to open in the first quarter of 2002.

Tuition is $250 and includes all materials and lunch. Scholarships are available. Applications, due Jan. 10, are available in the chamber office, by calling (724) 981-5880 or online at: www.svchamber.com/lead.htm
