Police seek help to solve recent burglaries

The following is this week's Mercer County Crime Solvers case:

  • Crime: Burglary and theft.

  • Details: A series of burglaries have occurred over the past three weeks in the areas of Mesabi and Quinby streets in Sharon and Wallis Avenue in Farrell. All the burglaries have been committed during in the night. The burglars usually gain entry by breaking a window or forcing open a door. Stolen items have included steal cash and other items of value including jewelry, cellular phones, clothing and Christmas gifts.

  • Call: Crime Solvers at (724) 347-HELP, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a cash reward. Anyone with information can also call the Sharon police at (724) 983-3210.

  • Reward: Crime Solvers is a non-profit organization which offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for a serious crime.
