FARRELL

Man arrested again on crack cocaine charges, police say

A Farrell man has been arrested for the second time on charges that he sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant of the Mercer County Drug Task Force, police said.

John B. "Buster" Hosey, 54, of 524 Fruit Ave., Farrell, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the office of District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage, police said.

He was charged by the state Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation and Drug Control with two counts each of delivery and possession of crack cocaine.

Hosey sold crack to the informant Nov. 3, 1999, and Dec. 17, 1999, at his former residence, 115 Wallis Ave., Farrell, police said.

Hosey was arrested in July on the charges, but they were withdrawn shortly afterward.

Police refiled the charges Jan. 14.

Hosey was arraigned by Russo and released on his own recognizance. His preliminary hearing was to be held Wednesday, but was continued.
