Another man has been charged with firing shots in a Feb. 19 drive-by shooting in Farrell, police said.

Lamar Wilder, 22, of 1141 Fruit Ave., Farrell, has been charged with six counts each attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, and one count of carrying a firearm without a license, police said.

Wilder was arrested by Sharon police at 8:43 p.m. Wednesday at 832 Spearman Avenue, Sharon and was arraigned Thursday before District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage.

Wilder was taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $10,000 bond, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional police gave this account of the alleged shooting:

Wilder argued over a girl with Donnell T. "Deacon" Stubbs, 20, of Warren, Ohio, in the 900 block of Negley Street, Farrell.

Wilder or Dwayne M. Smith, 27, of 906 Hamilton Ave., Farrell, pulled a gun, and Stubbs held a gun to Wilder's face and punched him in the mouth.

Wilder got into a Jeep with Smith and sped away. Stubbs got into a car with Brian E. "Nut" Miller, 21, and Terrell A. "Styles" Myrick, 21, both of Warren, Ohio, and three Sharon females, an 18-year-old woman and two girls, ages 15 and 17.

Myrick drove after Smith and Wilder, and the two vehicles passed at 12:05 a.m. in the 200 block of Roemer Boulevard. Wilder and Stubbs fired several shots at each others' vehicles.

Sharon police arrested Stubbs, Myrick and Miller about 30 minutes later.

Stubbs was charged with two counts attempted homicide, four counts aggravated assault, five counts reckless endangerment and one count carrying a firearm without a license, and Myrick, faces charges of two counts conspiracy to commit homicide, four counts conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, five counts conspiracy to commit reckless endangerment and one count carrying a firearm without a license.

On March 15, Stubbs and Myrick stipulated that if they went through with their preliminary hearings, the prosecution would be able to show a crime occurred and that they might have been involved. Their cases have gone to Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

Charges of unlawful restraint and tampering with evidence against Miller were withdrawn.

Smith has not been charged in the case, but is in Mercer County Jail on probation violations, and charges filed after he led police on a car chase Feb. 28. He was charged by Sharon police with fleeing police, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and a number of traffic violations. Southwest charged him with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. Wilder's preliminary hearing was set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, but Assistant District Attorney Robert Kochems said he will ask that a new date be set.
