Police seek pair who robbed Metz bakery Saturday

Police are looking for two men in a stolen car who robbed a Sharon bakery Saturday morning.

An employee at Metz Baking Co., 981 Division St., said a man walked in at about 7:45 a.m. carrying a small, black handgun and demanded money, police said. The employee handed over a small amount of cash and the robber left the store, police said.

There was another man, also with a handgun, waiting outside, police said.

The men got into a 1995 maroon, 4-door, Oldsmobile with an Ohio registration CBF1924 and drove south on Indiana Avenue into Farrell, police said.

The car the men were driving was reported stolen at 7:30 a.m. that morning from Youngstown, police said.

The first robber was described as a light-skinned black man, about 6 feet tall with a thin build who was wearing dark clothes, police said. The second man was wearing dark clothes and was shorter than the first man, police said.
