LWC to celebrate its 5th anniversary

Living Word Church of Brookfield, 586 Syme St. S.E., on Sunday will mark its fifth anniversary.

Superintendent Wilbert G. Hadden, pastor, Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ, Farrell, will be guest speaker during a celebration service at 3 p.m. Sunday. He will be accompanied by his Mass Choir. Sweet Aroma liturgical dance group from Youngstown also will minister.

Also participating will be Bishop James E. Erb of Antioch International Ministries, overseer of the church; the Rev. Thomas Bolling of Shenango Valley Ministerial Association and pastor of Second Baptist Church, Farrell; the Rev. Dan Cesene of Penn-Ohio Pastors Prayer Fellowship and pastor of Assembly of God; the Rev. Robert Cypher of Living Word Church of New Wilmington, Wilmington Township; the Rev. Richard H. Herman, president of Sharon-Hermitage Clergy Association and senior pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon; and the Rev. Pam Dutro.

The host church's worship and dance teams will lead the worship service. The Rev. Carol Missik is founding pastor of the host church.

A dinner will follow in Tiffany's in Brookfield. Dinner reservations are needed. The worship service is open to the public.

Living Word Church of Brookfield began in November 1996 as a house prayer group in the Brookfield home of Chuck and Carole Carrier. The group moved in February 1997 to a larger facility at the gazebo on the Strimbu property in Valley View Estates. It then moved in April 1997 to its current location.
