BROOKFIELD

Gibson found guilty again

Robert L. Gibson, III, Brookfield, was found guilty Monday of throwing his semen on a woman shopper in a Trumbull County department store in November.

Gibson, 38, of 467 S. Albright McKay Road, was sentenced in Warren Municipal Court to serve 30 days in jail. The sentence is concurrent with a 60-day jail sentence he received in Niles Municipal Court after his conviction on similar charges there. He was also fined $500 and put on two years reporting probation for the criminal mischief charge.

The Brookfield man was caught on a video camera tossing a substance later identified as semen on a woman at a Howland Township department store and was identified after his picture was circulated to area police departments, according to Howland Police Chief Steve Lamantia.

Test results of the semen sample came back last month from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Ohio identifying the semen as Gibson's, police said.

Gibson pleaded no contest to the criminal mischief charge, according to a court official, but the judge found him guilty of the charge.

He faces one more court hearing Wednesday in Girard Municipal Court for another alleged semen spraying incident at a grocery store in Liberty Township.
