Fatima parishioner ordained, is assigned to Notre Dame

The Rev. Jason Glover was ordained a priest June 7 in St. Peter Cathedral, Erie, by Catholic Diocese of Erie Bishop Donald W. Trautman.

The son of Richard and Sandy Glover, Brookfield, celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving at 5:30 p.m. June 8 in his home parish of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell.

He has been assigned to serve as parochial vicar at Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.

Rev. Glover was ordained a transitional deacon May 22, 2001, in St. Patrick Church, Franklin, and served an internship there since the summer of 1999.

The 1994 alumnus of Kennedy Catholic High School, Hermitage, graduated in 1998 from Gannon University in Erie with a bachelor's degree in philosophy.

He was born Nov. 19, 1975, in Pittsburgh and attended St. Joseph School in Sharon.

Concelebrants for the Rev. Glover's first Mass were the Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor of Our Lady of Fatima; Deacon Joseph Messina; and the Rev. David Foradori, who gave the homily.

A reception followed in Fatima Hall, Farrell. Rev. Glover gave a special individual blessing for all those who attended the Mass.
