Man arraigned for allegedly assaulting mom

Helen Moss, 65, was treated at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, after her son broke into her Jamestown home Friday, assaulted her and stole money and items totaling more than $4,000, police said.

Ronald L. Moss, 44, of 664 New Castle Ave., Sharon, used force to enter his mother's home in the 100 block of Liberty Street, police said.

Moss was caught in the Farrell area with the help of Southwest Mercer County Regional police, police said. He was arraigned before District Justice Lawrence Silvis, Worth Township, and taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $100,000 bond, police said.
