Four Sharon residents pleaded guilty Thursday to charges related to an attack on Sharon man.

They entered their pleas before District Justice James E. McMahon, Sharon. No testimony was heard.

Theresa Coonce, 25, of 514 Fullerton Place, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, while her sister Amanda Coonce, 18, also of 514 Fullerton, pleaded guilty to charges of mutual combat simple assault, disorderly conduct and a summary charge of criminal mischief.

The women's uncle, Walter Coonce, 38, of 130 Fourth Ave., pleaded to a charge of disorderly conduct. Bryan J. Dailey, 33, also of 514 Fullerton -- who isn't related to the Coonces -- pleaded to charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Walter and Theresa Coonce were sentenced to one year of state probation while Amanda Coonce and Dailey were sentenced to two years of state probation.

All four will split the cost of $338 restitution to replace a door that was broken in the fracas. Amanda Coonce was also ordered to pay restitution to replace a car windshield.

Police said the group assaulted John Negrea, 26, of 86 Fifth Ave., on July 13. Negrea was first attacked by the Coonce sisters, who were armed with crescent wrenches, police said. Once Negrea was on the ground Coonce and Dailey kicked and punched him, police said.

Negrea was treated at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System where he received four staples to close wounds on his head, police said.

Charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and criminal conspiracy against each of the four were dropped.
