Daffin's candy company announced a recall of its Choice Assortment boxes of chocolates on Tuesday.

The chocolates may contain egg whites, though the ingredient is not included on the label.

People who have an allergy or sensitivity to eggs risk a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the candy, the company said.

The chocolates were distributed in Pennsylvania and Ohio through Daffin's retail stores and other stores that sell Daffin's candy.

The chocolates come in 10-ounce, 1-pound and 2-pound boxes.

Daffin's is based in Sharon.
