A 37-year old Hermitage woman who was arrested for allegedly brandishing a revolver in the drive-through lane of a fast food restaurant Wednesday night was also charged with being involved in a hit and run accident prior to the incident. A later search of her home also turned up marijuana, Hermitage police said.

Cindy L. McGee of 2170 Homewood Drive, was charged Thursday with an accident involving an attended vehicle after she allegedly rear-ended a vehicle between 6:45 and 7 p.m. Wednesday on Buhl Farm Drive at Highland Road. According to the victims, the passenger in the rear-ended vehicle attempted to get out of the vehicle, but McGee drove around it and hit the passenger door, police said.

Ms. McGee later went to a restaurant at 7:20 p.m. in the 3100 block of East State Street, and waved a gun at a 16-year old employee standing in the window, police said. According to police, she had circled the parking lot earlier in the day looking for a certain employee and returned later with a gun.

Ms. McGee was found at her home around 8 p.m. Wednesday and charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and possessing a firearm without a license.

Around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, the victims of the hit and run accident reported the incident, described the car and reported the license plate number of the vehicle that hit them. Police in the meantime had sworn out a search warrant for Ms.. McGee's home, garage and car to look for the revolver. They arrived at her home around 9:30 a.m.. and found a car that matched the description with damage and the license plate number, police said. Police said they also found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They did not find the revolver but found a box, instructions for using a revolver and ear plugs, police said.

Ms. McGee was also charged Thursday with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
