A Hermitage man was arrested following a traffic accident Saturday afternoon, police said.

Matthew P. Delliquadri, 24, 790 Patricia Drive, Hermitage, was traveling eastbound on East Connelly Boulevard at 3:30 p.m. when he struck another vehicle that was waiting to make a left turn onto Spencer, police said.

A witness saw Delliquadri throw a container into bushes at the side of the road, police said.

Police said they found nine prescription drug tablets, marijuana and a marijuana pipe in the container.

Delliquadri was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a small amount of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and following too closely.
