'Winter Fun Days'
to offer many activities

Pymatuning Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club has scheduled its annual "Winter Fun Days" for 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 1 and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2 near the dam at Beach 2, Shelter 4, of Pymatuning State Park near Jamestown.

Children's sled riding is planned. Some small sleds will be available, but participants may want to bring their own. There also will be children's snowmobile rides, with helmets provided, courtesy of club members. Children also can take part in barrel rides and crafts and games.

Those with their own skates can go ice skating. There also will be horse- and tractor-pulled wagon rides; guided trail rides at 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 1 and at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 for those who bring their snowmobile.

Jamestown Lions Club will sponsor a hole-in-one golf contest. Various dealers will display new and used snowmobiles, parts, equipment and clothing. There also will be a vintage sled display.

A chainsaw carver will carve on-site with many items available for purchase. Mushers will demonstrate with dog-sled teams.

For a $10 registration cost for each item, all are welcome to display a snowmobile or trailer for sale for the weekend in the used-sled corral.

The event will be held regardless of the weather. The kitchen will be open for breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. both days and food can be purchased throughout the day.
