Richard P. Fragle, a Democrat, has announced he is seeking re-election as Sharon treasurer and tax collector. He has held that office since 2000.

"The treasurer's office is running very effectively with the present staff in place," he said. "We have managed to reduce some of the office costs and have maintained a high percentage of collection for city, county and school taxes."

Fragle lives on Spencer Avenue, with his wife, Roseanne and daughters Nicole and Gina.
