Knife-wielding man robs kids' outlet

A man flashed a knife during a robbery at Winner Children's Outlet Thursday morning.

Police gave this account:

The man walked into the store at 64 W. State St. at 11 a.m. and talked to the clerk briefly. He pulled out a knife, went around the counter, got into the cash register and took an undetermined amount of money. He was last seen running north on North Water Avenue.

No one was hurt.

He was described as white, in his 20s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He had brown hair and a brown mustache but was otherwise clean shaven. He was wearing wire-framed glasses, an untucked white T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

The knife had a 3- to 4-inch blade.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (724) 983-3210.
