Salvation Army slates special public meetings

Special meetings are planned for March 30 through April 3 in Salvation Army Shenango Valley Corps, 660 Fisher Hill. The public is invited

There will be a music night on March 31; youth night, April 1; and a dinner theater, April 3. An old-fashioned Army night is planned for 6 p.m. April 2, with Salvation Army history presented in an entertaining format.

Envoys Doug and Hél'en Kornwolf, territorial evangelists for Salvation Army's eastern United States region, will conduct special services during the meetings.

He has been and agent, manager and promoter for many U.S. and Canadian entertainers as well as a headliner in his own right. She was one of the world's leading, highest-paid showgirls.

The two entertainers met in California, married in Chicago and combined their talents to head up one of the top Las Vegas-style nightclub reviews.

Their conversion to Christianity took place at a crusade in 1982 in Toronto. Their ministry began in 1988 with the Salvation Army.

Envoys Kornwolf are members of the Gospel Music Association and the Fellowship of Christian Musicians.
