2 neighbors arrested
on cocaine charges

Two Farrell men, Emerson Avenue neighbors, have been arrested on drug charges.

Michael L. Bloodsaw, 43, of 1041 Emerson, was arrested at 2:04 p.m. Friday at home, and Joseph J. Passel, 40, of 1042 Emerson, was arrested 17 minutes later at home, police said.

Bloodsaw was charged with delivery of crack cocaine, conspiracy to commit delivery of crack and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Passel was charged with two counts each of possession and delivery of crack and conspiracy, police said.

Passel sold crack to a confidential informant who is working with Southwest Mercer County Regional and Sharon police March 7 and Thursday at home, police said.

Thursday, Passel took the informant's money, went to Bloodsaw's house, and returned with crack, police said.

Police said they searched Bloodsaw's home Friday and found money in Bloodsaw's pants pocket that had been used in the buy a day earlier, police said.

A medicine bottle, a mirror and a bag also were found with crack residue on them, police said.

Both were arraigned by video by District Justice Ruth M. French, Mercer. Passel was taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $15,000 bond, and Bloodsaw was jailed for failing to post $10,000 bond, police said. Both face preliminary hearings at 9 a.m. Friday before District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage.
