State store gets OK for Sunday trial run

There will no longer be Sunday liquor sales in Johnstown and Kennett Square, Pa., but people in Mercer County will have an opportunity to make a Sunday liquor run.

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board announced Thursday that Sunday liquor sales will stop immediately in Johnstown and next week in Kennett Square.

The closings give the PLCB the opportunity to try Sunday hours in other locations, including the store in Hermitage Towne Plaza, 2321 E. State St., a news release said. Starting Sunday, the store will be open from noon to 5 p.m.
