Hit-and-run truck clips man's arm

A Wisconsin man's arm was broken when it was hit by a tractor-trailer at 11:50 a.m. Friday on Interstate 80 in Lackawannock Township, police said.

James D. White, 46, of Schofield, had pulled his tractor-trailer off the road after blowing a tire, police said.

White was setting up emergency triangles alongside his truck and as he stood up after placing one, his arm was clipped, police said. White told police he was standing off the road but might have been near the line that separates the roadway and the shoulder.

White said he was hit by a green and white truck marked as owned by Digby Truck Line Inc., LaVergne, Tenn., police said. The truck did not stop.

Digby is searching its records to try to identify which of its trucks might have been in the area at the time, police said.

White was treated at UPMC Horizon, Farrell.
