Della Vestorsky, co-owner of the Last Lap restaurant and bar in Wheatland, said a characterization of her bar in a story Sunday on code enforcement in the borough was incorrect.

Jodi Smith said she tells people who want to come to her restaurant and bar, the Golden Apple, "You pass a row of junk cars by a dilapidated bar," an apparent reference to the Last Lap.

Ms. Vestorsky said her establishment is not dilapidated and is not in violation of any codes.

She said it is inspected yearly by the state Department of Health, and she quickly addresses any building problems as they arise.

She added she does not own the property on which the "junk cars" are stored and has no quarrel with how the property owner uses the property.
