The Rev. Myles Bradley announced Sunday that he will leave First United Methodist Church in Sharon to become pastor of a Pittsburgh District church. According to a release from the church, Rev. Bradley and his wife Joan will move to Ross Township to accept the call, effective July 1, of West View United Methodist Church in the northern Pittsburgh suburbs. Rev. Bradley, who has been at the Sharon church for six years, made his announcement at the end of the Sunday service, and also mailed a letter to First Church congregation members. During his years in Sharon, Rev. Bradley was active in Christian Associates of the Shenango Valley, serving as president in 20001-02. The Pastor-Parish Relations Committee, chaired by Andy DeLorenzo, will meet with District Superintendent the Rev. Jim Tubbs to begin First Church's search for a new pastor. |
