Campus cites academic winners

The Shenango Campus of Pennsylvania State University, Sharon, named its academic achievement award winners.

The following received President's Freshman Awards for earning 4.0 grade point averages in the first semester of full-time study:

   » Fredonia -- James H. McFarland, associate's degree in information sciences and technology.

   » Greenville -- Cheryl C. Psimer, associate's in letters, arts and sciences.

   » Hadley -- Megan M. Becker, associate's in science.

   » Mercer -- Kristin E. Blakesley, bachelor's in nursing.

   » Pulaski -- Rachelle L. Gill, bachelor's in liberal arts.

   » Sandy Lake -- Eliza M. Jones, bachelor's degree in engineering; and Michelle L. Voorhies, bachelor's in health and human development.

   » Sharon -- Shawn D. Gereb, associate's in information sciences and technology; Lisa N. Nassar, associate's in human development and family studies; and Abigail M. Persaud, bachelor's degree in business administration.

   » Sharpsville -- Matthew A. Heckathorn, bachelor's degree in the division of undergraduate studies; Bryan A. Morrison, associate's in letters, arts and sciences; and Erica L. Roskos, bachelor's degree in liberal arts.

   » Stoneboro -- Julie C. Workman.

   » Westford, Pa. -- Kathy J. Colner, associate's in human development and family studies.

The following earned the Evan Pugh Scholar Award for ranking in the upper one-half percent in their respective class after 48 or more credits:

   » Greenville -- Cheryl L. Runge, bachelor's in business.
