18 students at Delahunty
compete in Tri-Bowl event

Eighteen students from Delahunty Middle School in Hermitage qualified to compete in the Academic Games Tri-Bowl on March 18 and 19 at Geneva College, Beaver Falls.

To qualify, students had to be on a first-place team or an undefeated player at one of the Academic Games tournaments at Slippery Rock University. Those from the area of Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, Grove City, took part.

Emotional Enemies won third place in Propaganda, with Olivia Ruth, Marie McBride, Kelly Knisley, Logan Rock and Liz Davis as team members.

Technique Tortures placed ninth. Members were Hilary Landfried, Amy Ward, Shannon Sparks, Eric Hart and Suzy Podleyon.

Kristen Segarra, Angela Stigliano and Allison Brown played on a combination team and came in 10th. Logan Rock was undefeated in all three rounds and scored in the top 10 percent of all players.

Linguishtik Fishtiks took third place, with Marie McBride, Shannon Sparks, Amy Ward, Olivia Ruth and Hilary Landfried on the team.

Awesome Adverbs came in 14th, with team members Suzy Podleyon, Allison Brown, Kristen Segarra, Angela Stigliano and Kelly Knisley.

Eric Hart, Logan Rock and Liz Davis played on a combination team.

Shannon Sparks was undefeated in three rounds of competition with a perfect score.

Monroe Mamas took 10th place in Mr. President, with Hilary Landfried, Olivia Ruth, Marie McBride, Kelly Knisley and Logan Rock.

Truman's Troopers came in 14th, with Shannon Sparks, Eric Hart, Jacob Brown, Chris Ferreri and J.T. Swogger.

Bush Babes finished 22nd, with Amy Ward, Suzy Podleyon, Michael Fahmey, Kristen Segarra and Liz Davis.

Allison Brown played on a combination team.

Chris Ferreri, Liz Davis and Kelly Knisley were the top-scoring Delahunty students in the game of Mr. President.

Delahunty Integers took first place in the game of Equations, with Amy Ward, Michael Fahmey, Chris Ferreri, J.T. Swogger and Allison Brown.

Prime Delahunty finished sixth, with Marie McBride, Olivia Ruth, Logan Rock, Liz Davis and Kelly Knisley.

Hilary Landfried, Shannon Sparks, Suzy Podleyon and Kristen Segarra played on a combination team and came in 11th.

J.T. Swogger and Amy Ward were undefeated in three rounds of competition, earning perfect scores.
