Shenango Lake Day Use open for season

The Army Corps of Engineers has made the following announcements about Shenango River Lake:

   » The Mahaney, Clark, and Shenango Day Use are open for the 2003 season. The Mahaney area is open from sunrise to sunset. The Shenango Day Use area is open sunrise to sunset, and the boat launch is open 24 hours. The Clark day use area is open sunrise to sunset, and the boat launch is open 24 hours. Boat launching fees will not be charged until May 9.

   » Annual Launching Passes are available at the Resource Manager's Office, 2442 Kelly Road, Hermitage, between 9 am and 3 p.m. The fee is $30. Pavilion rentals are also available at the same office for $40.

   » The Shenango Campground will open for the season May 9. Reservations for selected campsites can be made by calling (877) 444-6777, or on the Internet at www.reserveusa.com. Reservations for locations operated by the USDA Forest Service can also be made by calling the same number.
