Based on the advice of school solicitor Mark Longietti, who cited a district confidentiality policy regarding personnel issues, the board could not comment on the reasons for the firing.

The resolution, however, did cite Section 514 of the Pennsylvania Public School Code as the reason for Bohach's dismissal. That section of the code refers to the right of a board to remove any employee for "incompetency, intemperance, neglect of duty, violation of any of the school laws of Pennsylvania or other improper conduct."

According to the resolution, which was approved by a 9-0 vote of the board, Bohach had previously been suspended without pay and he did not demand a hearing.
