with DUI after truck hits A Southwest Mercer County Regional patrolman was charged with drunken driving and careless driving after his pickup truck hit a parked car in Sharpsville, police said. Sherwood Raymer, 30, of 108 18th St., Sharpsville, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Ridge Avenue, a police affidavit said. According to the affidavit, Raymer carried an odor of alcohol, his eyes were bloodshot and his speech was slurred. He agreed to take a blood test, which determined that his blood-alcohol count was 0.24 percent. At 0.10 percent or greater, drivers are considered intoxicated in Pennsylvania. A hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. May 20 at District Justice James E. McMahon's office in Sharon. |
