Mancuso Pest Control sold to Ehrlich

Mancuso Pest Control Co. has sold its operations to Ehrlich Pest Control, Reading, Pa.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The new name of the Sharon operation is Mancuso Pest Control a Division of Ehrlich.

Mancuso was founded and owned for 43 years by Frank Mancuso, who plans to retire. He said all of his workers will be staying with the company.

"I view this as a great opportunity for our co-workers -- one that will give us the ability to provide even more services to our loyal customers in this area,'' Mancuso said.

Mancuso serves Mercer, Lawrence, Trumbull and Mahoning counties.

Ehrlich is the largest privately owned pest control company in North America. Celebrating its 75th anniversary, prior to the Mancuso deal Ehrlich's most recent purchase was Absolute Exterminating Co., Erie.

With 1,200 employees, Ehrlich has 39 district offices serving seven Mid-Atlantic States. Mike Griffith, who has been with Ehrlich since 1995 as a sales representative in the Pittsburgh District office, will manage the Sharon office. He and his wife and two sons will be moving to Mercer County.
