Jamestown Area School Board will vote Monday on a $6.4 million budget for the 2003-04 school year. The tentative budget would raise taxes by 2.4 mills in Mercer County and 0.99 mills in Crawford County. The board will meet at 8 p.m. at Jamestown Elementary School. The current tax bill of Mercer County communities in the district is 49.2 mills and in Crawford County, 35.41 mills. A mill is $1 for every $1,000 of a home's 1970 assessment value. |
