Charges against a Coolspring Township man who allegedly hit a pedestrian with his truck mirror and kept on going were held to court May 7 in District Justice Lawrence T. Silvis' court.

According to state police, Mitchel D. Jackson, 39, of 388 Airport Road, was northbound on U.S. Route 62 at 9 p.m. March 21 in Jackson Center when the passenger side mirror of his pickup struck 19-year old Robert Barnes of Jackson Center on Barnes' left side. According to witnesses and Barnes, police said, the driver of the truck did not stop.

Barnes, who had been walking on the berm, was treated at United Community Hospital in Pine Township for bruises and abrasions.
