Herald Political Writer Three candidates emerged from the primary election pack for Mercer County Common Pleas Court Tuesday and will battle for two seats in the general election in November. Christopher St. John, who earned the top spot on both tickets, John C. Reed, who was second on the Republican ticket, and Stephen J. Mirizio, who was second on the Democratic ticket, bested five other candidates. All eight cross-filed for the 10-year term. "I am both exhilarated and emotionally drained," St. John said. "And my family is deeply grateful for the overwhelming support from the voters of Mercer County and the unwavering dedication from countless relatives, friends and colleagues." |
