Morocco retains job, Brown will join council

By Larissa Theodore

Mayor William A. Morocco Sr., retained office in Farrell by defeating the Rev. Martha J. Sanders in a primary election race that also saw former mayor Eugene C. Pacsi fail in a council bid.

All are Democrats.

Morocco, 56, of 1120 Negley St. received 55 percent of the vote, while Mrs. Sanders, 70, of 1120 Emerson Ave. received 45 percent. Morocco faces no Republican opposition in November.

In the race for Farrell City Council, incumbent Mark Petrillo, 49, and newcomer Olive M. "Ollie" Brown, 61, were nominated for two four-year seats.
