Board eases 2-F policy covering
sports, activities participation

As expected, Sharpsville Area school directors gave final approval Monday to a revised policy that raises academic eligibility standards for students participating in extracurricular and co-curricular activities.

One citizen, however, questioned whether the action taken should be considered a first reading or final approval based on an amendment that was added to the revision since last month's meeting when the policy was first introduced.

"It just doesn't make sense," said James Gibbons, regarding the vote on an amended policy being considered the second and final reading.
