Mercer County commissioners on Thursday approved a series of resolutions they believe could spur economic development.

The first three involved expansions of Keystone Opportunity Zones in Grove City, Hermitage and Sharpsville, and Sandy Creek, Hempfield and Pymatuning townships.

The fourth was an endorsement for both the concept plans of the recently released Future Works-Bosworth Report and the efforts of the Northwest Pennsylvania Alignment Committee to inventory and evaluate economic development service delivery in the region.
