Honor guards
offer services
to deceased vets

Many deceased war veterans receive prestigious military honors during their interment, provided by some local military organizations.

Shenango Valley Veterans Honor Guard, Sharon, is one such group that offers these services. It consists of members from Sharon's American Legion Post 299, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1338 and Catholic War Veterans Post 1446.

The guard's commander, Joe Wiesen, said any deceased war veteran of any branch of the military is eligible to receive military honors.
