John Jason "JJ" Leffler, son of Jay and Donna Leffler of Greenville, has received the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Award.

He received the accolade March 16 during an Eagle Court of Honor hosted by Troop 78 of Hadley.

For his Eagle Scout project, Jason organized the construction of a wildlife observation platform. The deck-like structure with handicapped accesses is in the beaver pond wetland area of Maurice K. Goddard State Park, Sandy Lake.
