Hermitage commissioners held a public hearing Wednesday on a request to rezone 3.2 acres on the west side of North Hermitage Road.

The property, which is in front of Hermitage Elementary School, is owned by Luann Franklin of Hermitage. She has asked commissioners to adopt an ordinance rezoning the property from institutional to central commercial-1.

Ms. Franklin said she has been trying to sell the land for the last 1è years, but has not received any offers. She said rezoning it to commercial would attract buyers.
