Sharon council voted Thursday on budget transfers to pay another salt bill with the assurance from Mayor David O. Ryan that the same situation won't occur in the future. The city approved a total of $26,000 in budget transfers from road and bridge maintenance accounts to pay the additional bill. City Finance Director Michael Gasparich said that when he reconciled the city's salt bills, he told the company the city owed more than it was billed. A company representative said the city didn't owe the money, Gasparich said. |
