Sharpsville man, 34, killed

when SUV crashes, flips

Donald Alan Kermiet, 34, of Apartment 457 Georgetown St., Sharpsville, was killed at 2:25 a.m. Sunday after the driver of the sport utility vehicle he was riding in lost control on state Route 60 in North Beaver Township, state police in New Castle said. The SUV ran off the road, hit an embankment and flipped, police said.

Coroner Russell Noga pronounced Kermiet dead at the scene at 3:35 a.m.

The driver, Timothy Mallory, 27, of Warren, Ohio, was thrown from the vehicle and flown to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, where he was listed in stable condition Thursday evening, a hospital spokeswoman said.
