Heavy rain can't dilute message: Keep kids safe outdoors

Heavy rain and a flood warning weren't enough to prevent about 30 families from attending a children's safety education program Saturday at Goddard State Park, Sandy Lake.

Most of the activities scheduled for the day were canceled because of the weather, but many of the people braved the elements to learn about outdoor safety.

Canine Aided Emergency Search and Rescue, also known as C.A.E.S.A.R., is a volunteer nonprofit organization that provides trained personnel and dogs for rescue missions.
